Yummy Morning: Vanilla Yogurt, Walnuts & Honey

by beth on June 15, 2009

I really enjoy having easy things to make that are delicious to eat. Today I decided to have one of my favorites for breakfast with my usual cup of coffee. Vanilla yogurt topped with (pre)chopped walnuts & honey. Generally a pretty healthy pick me up that statisfies my sweet tooth without being as bad as eating an entire chocolate cake in the morning (not that I’ve ever done that, with the lights on that is). It also doesn’t require fire or using a cutting board.

Here’s a picture unassembled:

All assembled:

Now for the PSA: Yogurt gives you a good source of calcium, helps with yeast infections, help the overall immune system, & apparently it may be helpful in battling ulcers. Walnuts are a great source of omega-3 fatty acids, are high in anti-oxidents & are a good source of protein. Honey is nature’s sweetner, a little goes a long way. You can always have maple syrup instead of honey & add in some fresh fruit.

Plus, I think it’s all really yummy.
