Mamacita decided she wanted to work on her art. After we took Hubby to work, she got down to business.
The featured piece above is her art project.
Yah, I know it’s just cut up napkin. She’s only 3 what do you want from her?
Plus, perhaps it’s a postmodern art piece. I’ve never understood the inspiration behind postmodern art. And this fits right in since I’m not sure I understand what the inspiration behind “Cut Up Napkin” is.
Maybe it’s a statement on the downfall of the American diet and excessive use of disposable goods in our hyper-consumer based economy even as we tail spin into economic downfall. Or maybe it’s just that she likes to use the safety scissors & thought it was fun to cut up a napkin.
If you ask me it’s a toss up.

Maybe it’s a cloud!
Hiya
I hope you dont mind me barging in here, I have thoroughly enjoyed your site and would like to know if you would link up to mine. I ask because I am about to embark on a study course of the old 50′s book Fascnating Womahood by Helen Andelin. I figure that many of your readers would also enjoy too.
As the book is very old school and goes back to basics and to introduce where I come from in all of this homemaking deal please feel free to visit my personal blog: http://lifeasme.typepad.com.
Naturally I will be happy to link back to anyone that links to me too!
And I shall be back here, like I said, I think you have an amazing site!!

So cool! It’s amazing how kids can sit there and get pure enjoyment out of cutting up a napkin : )
My two boys used to love making snowflakes by cutting up paper and napkins. Whatever keeps them busy
Ha! I’d say there is a genius at work. To me it looks like a statement on the fragmentation of media – the narrow casting and ultra-specific television programming out there today. We all had 4 or 5 channels growing up and now it’s more like 200.
Kudos to your kiddo
It’s actually better than anything I could come up with
hey! love the new webpage! i love her ode to the napkin…my son loves to do that with notebook paper…i still don’t understand the fascination, but if it makes them happy, by all means!
it’s amazing how they can keep themselves busy & so happy with simple things.
Alicia–thanks, I’m still working out some of the kinks here like a different header. But so far I like it.
Debs–I’ll check it out! I’m still getting up and running here.
Is that toilet paper? LOL! I LOVE IT! That is my kind of craft project. I’m no Martha Stewart. I like your site and will have to come back and read more. I’m glad I clicked on you from the blog hop. Next time I wipe my butt, I’ll think, this could be a masterpiece…. LMBO!
