3 for 3: All About Me

by beth on July 13, 2009

in in life

Well not all about me, but since I’m joining  the blog hop today.  I should tell you 3 things that you may not know about me, at least that’s what the blog hop instructions tell me.   And I almost always follow instructions (except for the times I totally ingore them).

A Phobia:

I have many phobias.  One of my phobias is that I’m afraid of clowns.  I can’t stand them, I run from them at parties, and I think it’s odd that any adult would dress like one then go around offering small children ballons and candy.   I am sorry to all those out there who are clown lovers or themselves enjoy strapping on a pair of big floppy shoes. But I can’t do it. I just can’t.

Music:

First concert I went to was the Grateful Dead.  I was in high school, it was summer, & after the show I ate the best burrito I’ve ever had in my entire life.  It was the size of my head.  Some random guy made it out of his van.  And yes looking back on it I realize that buying a burrito out of the back of a van was probably not the smartest thing to do.  But man I was so hungry for some reason & it was good…so good.

Ice cream:

I love “Rocky Road” ice cream.  I can eat an entire carton of it.  Once I start it’s hard to stop.  It’s delicious, I actually can eat almost an entire carton of ice cream that I don’t even love.  I have an ice cream problem.  It’s just so darn good.

what drives someone to become a clown? because how fun can it REALLY be if everyone’s afraid of them?

WOW…haha…ok you’re not going to believe this but the previous blog that I visited (via blog hop)…the lady is a professional clown! How funny! LOL

My brothers and sisters are clown phobics too. Somehow, I didn’t jump on that bandwagon and even attended a clowning class when I was 18. My phobia is cockroaches! *shudder*

Ice Cream – Macinac Island Fudge my favorite in Michigan. Capaccino my favorite here in Queensland, Australia.

I never knew people were really afraid of clowns until hubby and I got married in vegas and stayed at Circus Circus. I had booked rooms for everyone from out of town there because I thought it was a fun place but my best friend freaked out when she saw the sign and actually stayed at another hotel because she is so terrified of clowns. I never knew it.

I love ice cream too, any kind is fine with me :)
Thanks for sharing and stopping by my blog.

Clowns freak me out too. I shouldn’t have read IT at such a young age. I remember reading it when I was like in fourth grade and I was traumatized…

Hopping by to say hello! Nice to meet you! I have a friend who feels exactly the same way you do about clowns! I think it’s a fairly common phobia.

I won’t even go into the ice cream thing! hahaha…rolo for me!

Thanks all for hopping by:)

AND I’m (in a sick way) glad that I’m not the only clown-phobe out there. I feel bad because I know people love clowsn but I just have a hard time with them. I did, like you Amber, read IT early on too.

Kelli & Jules–that’s too funny, what are the odds?
