Reading:
About a 72 year old woman who wants to use IVF to become the world’s oldest mother. The other day I said nothing surprises me anymore, well today I’m eating crow.

Listening:

Elliott Smith. If you don’t know who he is & was, I suggest checking his music out.

This is Pitseleh:

Watching:

The new season of Anthony Bourdain’s Travel Channel Show No Reservations. Hubby got me hooked over the last few years.   I’m now looking forward to Monday night’s travel to Australia.  Perhaps he will try vegemite sandwich, since he will be in the land down under where beer does flow & men chunder. (I apologize for the blatant Men At Work reference, but in my head I picture him saying that line with amused disdain as if that’s all Australia has to offer & can’t help but smile to myself).

The first one made me shudder…72? Really. Stop it.

And I have an Elliot Smith cd! Haunting. And such a sad story.

72 and trying to have a child is just selfish. Just this week the oldest mother on record, she was 69 when through IVF she concieved (her doctor said she lied about her age, he thought she was 10yrs. younger, I believe even at 59 she was too old), now just 3 years later the twins she gave birth to are motherless, she died this week.

Here you are! I was wondering why no new posts on the other blog…and I agree with Kate. Those twins have no parents, no grandparents…I don’t understand what some people are thinking.

That is just wrong on so many levels. If any doctor does that procedure, he/she should be legally obligated to raise the child.
