Mommy Could You Smoke Before You Yell

Before the Marlboro Man these were marketed toward women, moms specifically.
Doesn’t this ad just warm your hearts? I mean my kids never offer me anything fun before I “scold” them. Instead they just look at me like I’m a mad woman & go about their merry way.
I think that it must have been more fun to be a mom back before we got “awareness” & we learned about that pesky health stuff. I mean kids offering parents cigarettes? That seems like a great idea, minus the whole cancer & other diseases thing. Killjoys.
And look at how cute those babies are. What mother could deny a pusher like that? I say bring on the babies! Let the good times roll again. Although now that I think about it I’d prefer a mixed drink myself.

Well, isn’t this interesting! : ) Fascinating on so many levels. Who would have thought?

Wow, I never knew that! I wonder what year those ads are from.…

Can you imagine-wow, how time had changed things!!! The sad part is, back then everyone smoked. It was like the thing to do. Those ads sure do warm your heart! LOL

Classic. Yeah I think I would prefer my son to make me a drink to calm me down before I scold him. I think he’s just use to me yelling at him, because now he just laughs at me when I get mad, which makes me madder. Kids!!

Unbelievable that women used to be enticed by this ad campaign. Times have changed…
we just need a little bit more change.

It’s so weird how different people’s views are now on smoking.
There are I Love Lucy episodes out there where Lucy smoked when pregnant. Common then, would be unheard of on tv now.

Bloody Nora! I need a ciggy after seeing those ads.…

Wow, those are interesting. Times sure have changed, thank goodness.

Isn’t it amazing how times have changed — and really not from all that long ago if you think about it. Just think what our kids will say about ‘way back when’ for us when we were growing up.

wait, are those for real?! in sane!! the least they could do is teach the baby how to strike a match for us!

Wonder what exactly was the “Miracle of the Marlboro” for Mommies…
My Dad smoked Marlboro (aka Cowboy Killers) for most of his life. He gave them up after seeing Emily and other babies in the NICU on life support.

Those ads made me laugh out loud. Nice propaganda. LOL.

Oh wow, are they real?!

Totally unreal…I wonder what will end up on our children’s blogs in 20 years that they will be commenting on “how could it ever have been…” ~so wild.

OMG! That’s so crazy!
