Reading:
Finally finishing my copy of At the Breast: Ideologies of Breastfeeding and Motherhood in the Contemporary United Statesby Linda M. Blum. It’s about how breastfeeding policies & attitudes in the U.S. have also been shaped by racial-ethnic & socio-economic standing related to being a woman. It’s an interesting read & shows that experiences differ.
Listening:
80’s. More specifically Journey. There is just something about Journey, the big power ballads & the oh so touching lyrics (often with an undertone of cheating), gets me every time. I don’t think the band is the same without Steve Perry, I mean that hair it was a rock-mullet. When times are tough you’ve got to remember…Don’t Stop Believin’
Watching:
Oh Bravo…THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! I was going through Real Housewives withdrawal after my Jersey Girls went off the air but thankfully Bravo knew what I needed & brought back the Real Housewives of Atlanta. It looks like the classy table flip has some competition with Sheree & Kim’s fight. Sheree does what every woman across America has wanted to do to Kim’s bad wigs, in the previews for next week she pulls it & we all know that’s a “Oh No, SHE DIDN’T” Moment. Much like the beauty of the table flip.
Now to clarify something before anyone gets offended by me pointing out Kim’s “hair” I am NOT anti-wig. I know many women who wear wigs, some because they just like them & others for medical reasons, AND they ALL look FAB in theirs; however, Kim’s looks like one of those cheap Halloween wigs. I don’t get it. With all the greenbacks she’s dropping & had her ex drop for her on everything else you’d think better hair would be part of that. Still it’s going to get real Hot in Hot-Lanta with these ladies going toe-to-toe. So thank you Bravo, thank you for feeding my sad & sick Real Housewives addiction. I will now need to go & take a shower to get clean again.

OMG, Chris LOVES Journey! He has asked if we can have a Journey wedding! I told him that if that is the case- we are going to split it, half Journey and half Dave Matthews! Aren’t our wedding guests lucky!!
Have a great day!

I like Journey, too. However, I do not like Karoke Journey. Why, why, why do people torment people by trying to sing Journey? Seriously, those are some hard notes. Myabe I wouldn’t get irritated if I were drinking, but I’m usually the driver.
Friends don’t make sober friends listen to people croaking out Journey songs, =)
Cute blog.
Have a great day!
Oops, Karaoke. I think I need to up my coffee intake.
If you’re going to do a weave/ wig/ extensions, do them well!
Oh…those RH of Atlanta…ugh! LOL. They dont even LIVE in Atlanta. haha.
And we are playing Stone in Love with our 2 year old right now. He loves it and pretends to play his llittle guitar.

Happy Saturday Sharefest!
Great book you just finished, I think I need to read that one. It sounds interesting.
I am not really a talk show or reality show junkie, however RH of ATL sucked me in! I didn’t watch the last season but, kept hearing people talk about it. All I did was watch the pre season show and I was hooked!
Kim does need to get her hair together. Lol
However, I think they need to grow up a bit, and stop the High School he said, she said. It’s a show full of drama! I generally don’t do drama but I find it comical.
Ahhh…. Journey…!
I miss the 80′s!
LOVE me some Steve Perry and RH. Let me say that the Housewives from New Jersey and Atlanta have the ones from California and New York outweighed in the interesting department. Can you tel that I’m a watcher? TeeHee
Um… that should say “tell”… *Blush*
