Read­ing:

Finally fin­ish­ing my copy of At the Breast: Ide­olo­gies of Breast­feed­ing and Moth­er­hood in the Con­tem­po­rary United Statesby Linda M. Blum. It’s about how breast­feed­ing poli­cies & atti­tudes in the U.S. have also been shaped by racial-ethnic & socio-economic stand­ing related to being a woman. It’s an inter­est­ing read & shows that expe­ri­ences differ.

Lis­ten­ing:

80’s. More specif­i­cally Jour­ney. There is just some­thing about Jour­ney, the big power bal­lads & the oh so touch­ing lyrics (often with an under­tone of cheat­ing), gets me every time. Watch­ing:

Oh Bravo…THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! I was going through Real House­wives with­drawal after my Jer­sey Girls went off the air but thank­fully Bravo knew what I needed & brought back the Real House­wives of Atlanta. It looks like the classy table flip has some com­pe­ti­tion with Sheree & Kim’s fight. Sheree does what every woman across Amer­ica has wanted to do to Kim’s bad wigs, in the pre­views for next week she pulls it & we all know that’s a “Oh No, SHE DIDN’T” Moment. Much like the beauty of the table flip.

Now to clar­ify some­thing before any­one gets offended by me point­ing out Kim’s “hair” I am NOT anti-wig. I know many women who wear wigs, some because they just like them & oth­ers for med­ical rea­sons, AND they ALL look FAB in theirs; how­ever, Kim’s looks like one of those cheap Hal­loween wigs. I don’t get it. With all the green­backs she’s drop­ping & had her ex drop for her on every­thing else you’d think bet­ter hair would be part of that. Still it’s going to get real Hot in Hot-Lanta with these ladies going toe-to-toe. So thank you Bravo, thank you for feed­ing my sad & sick Real House­wives addic­tion. I will now need to go & take a shower to get clean again.
