After being robbed of my beautiful Pioneer Woman cowgirl boots by possible boot devil pact making sinners. I’ve been looking to cheer up.
Then again I admit I still don’t know if that’s true about the winners, but given I didn’t win it’s VERY possible. And totally logical in a completely illogical manner.
I then come to find out that Julie who has the most beautiful pictures of her own beautiful scenery was also robbed–I mean there were TWO pairs up for grabs!! We EACH could have walked away with a pair! Although I wouldn’t actually be wearing mine anywhere near a farm, unless a petting farm counts.
Unless I want to take Faemom up on her suggestion & just go out to the Southwest, maybe ride a horse or two while learning some new dancing moves. Which to be honest is a possibility. Hubby and I are looking to shake things up a bit, why not the Southwest? Outside of the fact that Hubby hates the heat. I’m not kidding the guy melts in like 85 degree weather. He might disappear in the Southwest.
However, I can be cheered up because I did get some cool surprises yesterday.
I found out that I was featured over at Lisa’s blog yesterday, with her awesome blog reviews. That Nancy is featuring me as the twitterer of the week, along side her own blog mastery. And that I was added to Andrienne’s list which features 100 blogs by or for women.

Now I can at least be comforted by those cool surprises & of course by those who understand my pain. I know I’m not the only one who has been robbed from a win. I mean come on, we ALL know it’s supposed to be US who wins.
Even if we congratulate the other gal or guy, we REALLY DESERVED wanted to win. I WANTED DESERVED TO WIN!!
It’s like the Oscars, but with no real judging or need to prove talent. Then again maybe that is the Oscars?? Either way, talent or no talent you KNOW they really don’t want to smile & clap for the winner. Secretly they are plotting revenge by winning next year and looking fabulous.
OH How my revenge will come and trust me it will. I will look fabulous in those boots. Even if it takes me like a year to save for them. And NO I’m NOT obsessive. What just because this the 3rd themed post about boots–who are you to judge me? I’m merely someone who has to think excessively about a topic & plan it out to the nth detail. That’s not obsessive, it’s good planning.
And of course all the while I’ll be pretending I really am living the life of a fantasy cowgirl. One who never has to clean muck. I am not sure exactly what muck is but given the shows I’ve seen and reading from those who know far better than I, I’m OK not having an intimate muck experience. But then again I do have 4 kids, I’m sure I’ve had some muck experiences without knowing it.
Now to make dinner and plot my revenge.

Sorry about the boots. I imagine it would’ve be pretty fantastic to holler out “CHOW TIME” and then ring a triangle while wearing those sexy thangs.
But congrats on everything else!
Congrats on all the shout-outs you’ve gotten!
It’s not *that* hot in the Southwest all year! I have some horses you can come ride! We’ll go get our OWN BOOTS, DARNIT! (Well, I’ll just get ones that I don’t clean the barn in.)
Take that EVIL BOOT STEALERS!!
I stumbled across your blog and this made me laugh! Anyone who can obsess about shoes like I can should be on my follow list…
Good luck on the revenge thing. Lemme know how it works out :-p
Maybe someone in the future will have another boot giveaway?
I’ve had cowboy boots. They’re really not all that comfortable.
Those boots really are badass. I love the idea of doing blog reviews! We’ll have to add that to our blog regime.
Sorry you didn’t win the boots.
I rarely win any of the giveaways so I know how you feel. Like someone was giving away a $50 gift card to Target and I’m sorry, I LOVE Target and I felt I was destined to win. I did not. Hmph.
LOL Awesome post. The grieving process takes time. I would suggest you visit in late fall, early spring. Heck, rodeo is the last week of Feb.
P.S. Congrads on all those shout outs.
