We are now looking at 6 pairs of shoes on any given day. That is just 1 pair per person. Granted I’m pretty sure D-man doesn’t need a pair at this stage but soon he will. And it seems like kids shoes have the ability to multiply and take over any entry space. Kids shoes also have an uncanny knack of tripping you, usually when you are very tired & an haven’t slept for DAYS.
While I’m not positive there is even part of me wonders if the kids don’t secretly plot against parents by purposely leaving them all over the place.
In a quest to organize the kids shoes within our small space Hubby and I have found this:
It’s SANDNES from IKEA, you know that place I swear lured me in some seductive hypnotic web to want this organizer.
When you open it the shoes look so nice. AND OFF THE FLOOR!!! I can’t help but get excited over the hope of NO more deadly night injuries.
It’s pretty slender and would fit nicely against the wall in the living room, near the front door. The top of it could also be used to keep items: keys, pictures, flowers. Hey, I may decorate with some beautiful vases! Ok, I will probably only consider decorating will beautiful vases, because I can just picture someone knocking over said vase with chaos ensuing after.

I wear tennis shoes. One pair at a time. What’s to organize? LOL
MIne are all thrown into a pile by the door. I keep straightening it out but they keep messing it up!

How do we organize? They all have to be on the mat, thrown scattered, whatever, they are supposed to be on “that” mat. I wish I could convince my family to put their shoes in a nifty box… it looks good. Love your site.
