After Mr. J’s assertion that girls pick apples we all had the idea to go apple picking in our heads. It sounded like a lot of fun for the Fall. So when Aunt K (Hubby’s sister) suggested that we make a day of it, we were in. We all went on Sunday with her & Hubby’s parents. It was a perfect day for apple picking. No rain!

When we got there the kids were excited to see a giant hay mound and farm houses. The possibility of running around was also pretty exciting. It was so open.
Then we went and got our bags for apple picking. We got to take a hayride out to pick them. It was the first time we had all done that together. Mamacita was pretty nervous at the start of the ride but later she said “It was SOOOOO FUNNNNNNN!!!!!”

Yummy Apples…Hope there’s no worms.

Back on the hayride. Look at the rustic garden. I can hear my simple life calling me.

Wonder if the Great Pumpkin is coming this year? I’ve been a good girl (mostly).

After we were done it was doughnut time. D-man thought eating the bag with doughnuts in it would be the same as eating them. Silly baby, doughnuts are for big kids.

I ended up with more apples than I know what to do with. I’ve got apples coming out the wazoo that have to get used up before they go bad. Get ready for some apple themed recipes. I can almost taste the apple tart now.

for some reason, my blogger account is still following you (even though I haven’t changed the address in it – it seems to have changed it automatically).
I do have one request though – is it possible to make the font bigger?
other than that, lovely blog.
man…now i want to go apple picking…..
That looks like so much fun!!
@Nyx–Thanks
On the font issue I’m in the process a redesign, to help with some of those issues (e.g. on some IE formats you have to use a compatibility function to see the layout). Should make it easier to read & navigate through. You might be able to change the zoom setting on your computer until then.
@Lee–it was a lot of fun!
