Images of Fall

This is the view outside my Hubby’s office. You wouldn’t guess by looking at it, but these beautiful trees are on the other side of a big old parking lot. He took it with the camera on his phone. It makes me wonder what we ever did without camera phones? I mean it we must have been living in the Dark Ages, way back in the 1990s.

I could play all day if I got to look at beautiful colors like this. Going down the slide into a fantasy fall wonderland. Even in the rust belt we’ve still got color, baby.

The kids keep asking me how the leaves manage to grow up or is it down? Either way it’s pretty cool. I don’t have anything cool growing on my house. I do have some weird birds thinking my roof is their home. It’s NOT! Move on bird family. Really birds, get a life off MY ROOF!

It’s like the tree was asking for a close-up. Can’t you hear it “I’m ready for my close-up, taken by a beautiful lady.” OK, I’m not sure that last part was actually said or really any of it. But if trees could talk I’m sure the tree would have wanted a close up & provided me with unnecessary flattery.

But not everything is still lush with foliage. This guy is all but bare. Poor tree, must feel so embarrassed being all nudies in front of all his tree buddies. Just keep picturing the other trees in their underwear & it will be fine. (Was that too far?).

On a side note that is totally unrelated, I’m working on the last round of revisions this week and into the weekend. The end of my university experience is near. I’m thinking that after writing for a week straight my brain has literally melted out of my head & I am now wondering if trees can talk.

Hey, maybe that tree likes being a nudist.

We will never know. Cuz…you know. It’s a tree. It doesn’t talk. Unless you’re some sort of disney character who can talk to trees…in which case HOOK ME UP. I wanna talk to trees too!

That’s true, he could have been. And wouldn’t you like to know if I was like a Disney character ;)

Yep, Winter is definitely on the way. I’m sure in another week the leaves will all be down. Over the last few days more keep falling, rolling in with November.

Oh, the photos are wonderful; I love fall-even the occasional nudey tree doesn’t put me off! Good luck near the end of uni life; what a wonderful feeling it is to finish. xx

Thank you! It feels like a big weight is being lifted. I was just thinking how much less there is to do even as I’m trying to get the last few things done.

Oh I love it! Makes me wonder if we are neighbors -that nudie tree looks so familiar LOL! Congrats on being almost done-then what? What are you up to when you are done with the University?

I’m not sure, right now I’ll still be doing the same thing. So, teaching part-time & researching. But I’m open to ideas!

The orange is brilliant!! How gorgeous. I’d get lost in daydreams looking at that all the time.

Yes, the orange is brilliant. I adore it. And I agree it is easy to get lost in the colors this time of year.

Evan keeps asking when fall will come because of pictures like yours. Sorry, buddy, fall doesn’t happen in the desert.

I think it’s wonderful that you speak the language of trees.

Thank you! The trees are changing quickly here too, I’m guessing by next week everything will be done :(

It changes so quickly in less than 2 weeks most the trees now look bare.
