I saw these fun animal themed gifts from Pottery Barn, they aren’t too pricey either which is good because budget busters aren’t much fun.
I know what you’re thinking, “Really animal themed? Is she serious?” And to answer that “Yes, really animal themed. Yes, I’m totally serious.”
These aren’t the usual blue geese or pink flamingos animal themed ideas. These are rugged looking animals and, yes, trust me where I am squirrels are tough.

I actually do know someone who collects salt and pepper shakers. These would fit perfect in her collection. They are also much nicer looking than my neighborhood squirrels. I’m pretty sure the squirrels here will cut you for an extra nut. Seriously, they are the most aggressive squirrels I have EVER been around. I’ll take mine in the salt & pepper shaker format, thank you very much.

I wonder if I got Hubby a stopper like this for his decanter if he’d appreciate them as much as I do. Or would something like a stag or owl stopper only work if you live on a ranch, wear cowboy boots, and are steeped in the scent of Old Spice? Maybe it’s time for a move? And a change in cologne?

And then there’s my total favorite, because when I go to open a bottle I want a REAL bottle opener. Not some wussy little cutesy one, but one that is going to take a bite outta it & make it know who’s boss. Forget lapdogs, you need a bulldog to open your bottle.
I feel more rugged just looking at these.

Those squirrel shakers are actually pretty darn cute!
They’re cute & look sturdy too.
I really do like the bulldog opener. So cool.
It’s my favorite because I mean it’s a bulldog! How fun is that?
I like the owl stopper.
My daughter likes that one too, my sons are all about the stag.
I think I just sprouted hair on my chest.
Now you’re a real manly woman, perfect for these, LOL
They all look like they belong in some rich weirdo’s hunting lodge.
(Silly, Brad, rich weirdos aren’t in season)
Rich weirdos are always in season, it’s like Dallas.
I am loving that bottle opener! These are cute ideas.
I love that they aren’t too expensive either.
My Grammy would have seriously loved the squirrels. She was an animal nut. Very cute.
My Nana loved squirrels too, she use to feed them. But hers were a lot nicer than the ones in my neighborhood.
I think those squirrels are cute! And isn’t rustic in, anyways? My kidlets love to go for country drives (I think I go for two a day during the week…oh so not kidding!) and lately I’ve been dodging grey squirrels left and right. I keep trying to remind them that they turn on a dime much faster than my car and thankfully, they turn and scurry towards the nearest tree….which, where we’re driving, is a mere six inches away! But, little squirrel S&P shakers that do not try to play chicken with my car?? Now, that I’ve got to love! :>
Have you ever seen that commercial with the squirrels who high-five each other after running into traffic causing all sorts of chaos? I swear they wait until a car comes & then they dart.
Ahhhh I have an irrational fear of squirrels! They are agressive little rodents!
Well, now you know what I’m going to send you for Christmas
That bulldog opener is hard core! Awesome!
Hardcore is how I roll baby!
