It was about the experience of student-mothering, it was qualitative research with in-depth interviews. Overall there are 3 findings chapters addressing different aspects their experiences (e.g. motherhood identity, balancing the student role with motherhood, support systems).

And I would have loved to have had more people at the defense

I know the lack of the dance off was a bummer. I do think that defending over a few beers is a good idea & perhaps the bar could be named “The Room?” Brings a whole new meaning
