Handmade Snowflake Soap

by beth on December 22, 2009

I went to a cookie party on Friday. A friend of mine hosts it every year. I have been blessed to attend for the last few years. It’s a fabulous time, lots of scrumptious cookies and conversations to catch back up before we go into the New Year. As the most gracious hostess she always has a handmade gift for the guests. I would have settled for the night out to enjoy with friends, so the gift is a delightful bonus. One my children usually fight over the next morning. This year it was handmade snowflake soap. I wanted to share because it’s a great idea. One could easily get melt & pour soap from a local craft store, melt them down, & place them in a mold as a way to give a special gift anytime of year. This is not limited to the Winter season.

Here is some of her beautiful handiwork.

Wrapped in a bow to celebrate the season, in stacks of 3.

Simple snowflakes made in love.

Make the Winter a little warmer.

Only problem is I am so loving the snowflakes that I don’t want to use them to wash my hands. A good problem to have!

Those are super cute – and what a great idea…even for those unexpected guests who show up!
