Leno also has been screwed by NBC. He did plan on leaving but not in that way or time, so that adds another dimension to this whole thing. Conan should take over The Tonight Show, but I think NBC handled the whole thing wrong from the get-go. Leading to this whole mess. I can't imagine Leno would work with a 1/2 show & doing an hour makes no sense because the affiliates would lose their 11 pm news.
