Help a Brother Out

by beth on February 8, 2010

If D-man walks for Mr. J before me I admit it. I’m going to be a little jealous, as in reminding D-man his whole life how he walked for Mr. J but I am the one who carried him in my womb & birthed him. ME & it took like 3 weeks of labor to have him. That’s right THREE WEEKS, THREE– I mean it FELT like 3 weeks even if it only a few hours. Hours become weeks when you are laboring, WEEKS I TELL YA!! WEEKS!! But anyway all mothering guilt trips aside, Mr. J has been trying to help D-man get his land legs everyday. He can’t wait to have D-man take his first steps & he is hoping that when D-man does walk it will be with him. Although I’m wondering if Mr. J has thought through this plan, because once D-man is standing & walking on his own 2 feet you know that he will want to get into EVERYTHING that is Mr. J’s. He’ll be like a flash of toddler lightening.

(and this picture is courtesy of Mr. G who had to also help his brothers out)

This is an adorable picture…I think his expression says, “I’m not so sure about this!” My littlest one is 9 months and beginning to cruise along the furniture; I know walking isn’t far behind so she can keep up with Big Brother! :)

That expression says it all, doesn’t it? I remember when my kids learned to walk. Each was an individual…and still is. SITS sent me by, and I’m glad they did!

Ah you gotta love mommy guilt. I try to remind my kids about how I suffered for them on a regular basis. In my opinion, a little guilt is good for the soul.

Your little guy is so cute. I’m sure he’ll be tearing up the house in no time.

Ah, the joys of siblings that motivate the youngest to developmentally overachieve! Cameron still can’t quite figure out that she needs to move her feet along with her torso as she moves along…I’m hoping it takes her a while to figure out!

My twins walked for the first time for their uncle. I was a tad bit jealous. A tad. I can’t wait to hear the good news about walking……:)

Oh how cute! It’s funny; my daugther was early with walking and I was so excited about it. My son was pretty early too, and since he was my “baby” I was ready for him to keep crawling! It went by too fast. :)

So cute! My girls are 6.5 years and 9.5 months. My oldest loves to help our youngest do all of the milestones. Somehow siblings have this way to make each other laugh and giggle.

When my daughter first started walking she would only do it when her father or uncle were around.

Cute picture. At least you know they love each other . . . for now.
