My kids surprised me with early Mother’s Day gifts. I was thinking it would be a tropical vacation. I know I’m silly like that. Instead it was much sweeter although doesn’t go as well with a little umbrella in a slushy drink.
A homemade necklace. Apparently like they made in the “olden days.” My eldest child thinks I’m 152 years old, because he thought it was like when I was a kid “way back when.” Although it is pretty with my white hippie chic shirt. I feel all earth mother in it.
There was a homemade hanger for art and other projects made by my daughter. Purple & pink. Her signature colors. I think she loves those colors more than her luggage.
I hung the beautiful handmade wrapping paper from my second boy up with it. He made me flowers. He loves giving flowers. I’m trying to train him now to send bouquets when he is older. Hey, if I can’t get Hubby to do it regularly maybe I can get the rabble-rousing bunch to. A girl can dream.
And dream I will with a little candle lighting my way. I loved how my second talked about how carefully he choose the tissue paper to add to the jar for his candle holder. He was so proud. And I was so proud of him & his siblings for the beautiful work & creativity in how they made their gifts.
Even though they make me want to pull my hair out some days, they sure are sweet hearts. I think I’ll keep them.

I love homemade gifts
So sweet
They’re really lovely, they obviously spent a lot of time on them! I’ve got all this to come as my daughter is only 5 months. I’m in the UK so we’ve already had Mothers Day but I hope you have a great day!
Precious! What more could a mom ask for? ( Uh…maybe that tropical vacation with a slushy umbrella drink)
Happy SITS Saturday Sharefest! As a mom whose babies are all grown, know that those little handmade treasures are the best gifts you will ever get!
SO CUTE! I cannot wait until my daughter can do things like that!
I love that candle holder
Those are adorable gifts. You are one lucky mom. Happy Mother’s Day!
How sweet. My kids are beyond this stage and seeing your gifts was a nice flashback. Happy Mothers Day.
