Again I decided to catalog shop & redecorate the house I don’t live in, you know the fantasy house that I would live in if I could. I thought this Pulley Task Table Lamp from Pottery Barn looked really neat. My sons thought it was “SO SUPER COOL!” That’s an exact quote. I like that the lamp brings a clean look with a mechanical element with it. A fun feature of the lamp is that the shade can be adjusted by using the pulley. My oldest when reading that started to think of all sorts of ways he could rig something similar & his brother in crime started helping with a sketch. Now I only hope that they don’t decide to rig my house with pulleys & levers.

I love living vicariously in catalogues, too!!! Ugh, and I can never shake the feeling that my house has to LOOK like a catalogue before I can have anyone over. It’s a blessing AND a curse!

Catalogs have my heart. I love that you can fantasy decorate any time with them, but you’re right it can be a danger. Ever see Friends? There was an episode where Phoebe & Rachel’s apartment ended up looking just like the Pottery Barn catalog & window displays, hilarious
i agree, that is really cool! I love that catalog, too- though I order from is way less then I’d like to.
