Over the weekend it was a great time to fly a kite. Minus the on/off rain the weather was actually a perfect roll into September. We decided to take advantage of it & get out, kite in hand. Mr. J was ready to get his kite up & going.
Sometimes Daddy had to help get the kite to stay up. The wind was finicky. It didn’t understand the excitement that young kids (and maybe a grown-up or two) had in wanting this kite to go.
It looked touch & go at first. But then…
The wind started to move steady. The kite began to go up…
Up…
And Away!!
Then after a glorious ride the kite came back down again. Greeting its fans who had been watching with much excitement.

[New Post] Go Fly A Kite – via #twitoaster http://theconfusedhomemaker.com/2010/09/...
We took advantage of a (mostly) nice weekend for weather. New Post: Go Fly A Kite http://962go.th8.us
@beths_confusion That’s great! We did the same thing this weekend. However the hubs had way more fun with our kite than the kiddo.
How fun! Looks like you all had a good time! Love that first picture!
It was a lot of fun! My oldest was so proud that he got it to go & we all really enjoyed it.
Such a nice family outing! Your photos are lovely, and the whole “kite flying” thing is a great parent-child bonding activity. Thanks for sharing!

I agree Deb, it really is a great way to bond. And I must say the whole idea of buying a kite & working with the kids was something Hubby really wanted to do. He loved flying kites as a kid & always wanted to do the same with his kids.
Look at the clarity in these photos. They are fantastic!
Thanks, Angie! I really love playing with this camera, it’s so much fun to get these pictures & have them for the kids (and us old folks) to look back on.
