Kitchen Beautiful: Pewter Measuring Spoons

by beth on January 4, 2011

I’ve been obsessing over these pewter measuring spoons from Crosby & Taylor (formerly the Tin Woodsman Pewter) for a long time.

Recently I even attempted to win a set last month from the wonderful & lovely Debra & The Professor at Smith Bites, whose food is also wonderful, lovely & tasty.  I have no idea if Debra & The Professor also taste good given I’ve never eaten them (Wow, that sounds weirder when I read it than when I thought it).

But alas, I didn’t win the spoons, which is fine, whatever, it’s not like I’m bitter about it or anything. OK, maybe I am just a little.

But still since then I have been dreaming about them.

I’m not actually kidding.  Lately I’ve been baking in my dreams.  Maybe it’s a craving thing?

Plus, where else could I get pewter fish measuring spoons?

*And Crosby & Taylor don’t know me from a pewter fish, those who do know me can attest that I’m taller in real life.

They are pretty.

So what are you baking in your dreams? I’ve been dreaming of picking up toys. Someone shoot me now, please.

I have been baking a lot of cakes, but they’re lighter in taste. Cakes like lemon-basil or vanilla with a orange glaze. I don’t mind because I like cake; however, I have had the picking up toys dreams before. Those I hate.

Okay, have to admit I’m not so sure about the fish ones, but I do love that first set there. Very nice.

That’s OK Liam, fish aren’t everybody’s bag. Although I can’t imagine why ;) The first ones are the ones I have my heart set on.
