Nothing hits home with my kids or my husband better than a plate full of cookies. Chocolate Chip Cookies to be exact. There is something about it that just makes everyone feel at home & if I must admit I will bribe my family with cookies. I have tried for years to get the right combination of ingredients, baked goodness and chocolate chip melty-deliciousness (these cookies have me making up words!) & I have arrived. I have hit cookie nirvana. After this I may just sit back and ride the wave. Or I may eat a couple Chocolate Chip Cookies for quality control. Either way it’s the same difference. After all quality control is nirvana in cookie form.
What You Need:
2 1/2 Cups of All Purpose Flour
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar
2 Sticks of Unsalted Butter
1 Tablespoon & 1/4 Teaspoon of Vanilla
2 Large Eggs
1 Cup of Firmly Packed Light Brown Sugar
1 Cup and 1/3 Cup of Chocolate Chips
Preheat oven at 325 degrees bake for 18–20 minutes.
Makes 2 dozen cookies.
How To Put It Together:
Take out butter and eggs, let butter soften to room temperature and eggs warm to room temperature.
While butter & eggs are out preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Then place in a medium bowl your white granulated sugar, flour, baking soda & salt. Fold ingredients together, mixing them into a homogenous mixture.
Then place butter, eggs, vanilla, & light brown sugar in a mixing bowl. If using an electric mixer use the paddle attachment, if using handmixer use as is. Cream together all ingredients on medium speed.
Once they are creamed together slowly add in your other bowl of dry ingredients into the larger mixing bowl of creamed ingredients. Mix on medium speed until all incorporated into one.
Once this is down gently fold in your chocolate chips with a large wooden spoon.
After you’ve done this, you can either chill for an 1 hour or immediately place a tablespoon ball of cookie dough on ungreased cookie sheets. Place them about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 18–20 minutes on 325 degrees. You’ll know they are done when you see the edges of the bottoms becoming lightly browned. The cookies themselves should be light & fluffy. Once they are done, remove from the cookie sheets with a spatula.
Place on a cookie rack until cooled.
These chocolate chip cookies are perfect for dunking & sharing with others. Also, these chocolate chip cookies perfect for hoarding all to yourself, I promise I won’t tell anyone.

We need to compare notes. Like you use less chocolate chips than I do. And I thought I used a lot of vanilla but you out do me.

Your cookies look perfect! The chocolate chip cookies are perfectly putted on the cookies. I will love to try this one and eat with a glass of fresh milk. Like what kids do. LOL.
My grandma used to bake us chocolate cookies like those when we were kids. Now that I already know what is the recipe I think I can bake some for my grandma for her 89th birthday. That will be a sign of thanking her for all those baked cookies that she gave us whenever we asked for it.
