Recently, I received the opportunity to review Baby Orajel Naturals Teething Tablets from BlogHer and have a $100 Target gift card giveaway!
I have turned down several other review/giveaway offers because I did not feel they would be good fit. However, with this offer I jumped at the chance to review the new tablets because as you might remember I have a teething tyrant in my house.
Err, I mean I have an absolutely adorable, sweet, angelic baby who happens to be teething right now, and teething makes her a tad cranky. OK, it makes her an adorable teething tyrant.
I also love Target {or as we call it around here Tar-gay} and figured many of you might feel the same.
As a mom of 5, Baby Girl is my 5th teething baby! And as a result of having done this momma of a teething tyrant gig before I do have lots of tricks up my sleeve to help soothe her–from cold teething rings to frozen washcloths to wooden teethers and so on.
But in my quest to add to my bag of tricks, I thought it would be a good to review this product. I could get some real-time, real, hands-on experience with Baby Girl and share with other parents.
Baby Orajel Naturals Tablets is the first and only homeopathic offering from the #1 teething brand, Baby Orajel.
Breaking down the details…
I like that Baby Orajel Naturals Teething Tablets are homeopathic teething tablets. I prefer to try to use natural elements with my kids, especially my babies.
Another plus for me is that the tables have chamomilla as one of the key ingredients for soothing a teething baby. From my own experience chamomilla is a calming agent for all ages. For example, we use chamomile tea before bed to help relax on days when everyone is all revved up and have even used chamomile tea as a treatment for colic.
Also, Baby Orajel Naturals Teething Tablets are belladonna-free, benzocaine-free, dye-free, alcohol-free and paraben-free. The focus on removing these elements from their tablets speaks to the crunchy momma wanna-be in me!
In use…
And yes before I go any further…I truly did use them with her! And not only I did I use them with Baby Girl, Mike also gave some to her on two different evenings when I was lecturing.
Because trust me, she was having a rough one. If you have ever been around a teething baby you know those rough ones are the days/evenings/middle of the nights when you are up walking back and forth across the floor with your little sweetheart, who is anything but sweet and is very fussy, and you are trying to do anything you can to soothe your baby.
These teething tablets turned out to be a wonderful addition to help with those rough ones.
Another great benefit of these tablets is not only was it easy to get them in her mouth, under her tongue, but the tablets feature a quick-dissolve rate of about 10 seconds. Meaning no worrying about them falling out right after you pop them in, and her not getting the relief she needs. It also made it harder for her to spit them out before they dissolved; instead they dissolved before she could try this little trick {and oh how babies will try}. So BAM! Score one for the parents!
Now for the big answer did they work?
Both Mike and I concur that yes, yes they did actually work. I was glad to have Mike’s feedback to see how she reacted when I wasn’t around because I wanted to make sure it wasn’t just my perception.
Nope, it was not just me.
The truth is she seemed so much calmer and soothed after receiving them on the days when her teething was out of control. She was then able to gnaw on her teething ring or a frozen washcloth with glee.
My favorite part was seeing my sweet, smiling Baby Girl after she was soothed. And to see the two teeth she is now sporting {Yes, TWO teeth!!}. I love these moments as a momma.
Well, I don’t love the teething tyrant part {because man that part, um, SUCKS!} but I do love seeing the squirrely faces she makes and her brand new two-tooth smile as she is chomping away on her morning snack.
I also love getting to know the beautiful little person my Baby Girl is becoming!
And now that I have shared my review and one of my favorite moments as a momma how about you…

My son had a speech delay and one of my favorite moments was when he finally was able to say Mommy. It warmed my heart.

My favorite moment was that first real smile. That made all of the long nights, blow-outs and screaming worth it.

My favorite moment is the very first night in the hospital after I’ve given birth. This night is the very reason why I have 4 kids, I wanted to experience this night again and again! It is so peaceful, laying in the darkened hospital room with something on tv turned low in the background, lying on your side with the bed halfway up and your brand new tiny baby curled up against your side. Those super soft tiny white snap shirts that they put on both the baby’s top half and bottom half…baby not yet really hungry so mostly just sleeping…just staring at the baby’s face in awe that this little being was inside your body just yesterday. I looked forward to this first night with every one of my pregnancies.
My favorite moment was when I first seen the bundle of joy, nothing like being depended on ! they are so fragile and helpless and it makes you wanna eat them up! its that moment, that moment when after 9 months, baby finlly decides to join you and the family and he gets in motion…its soo beautiful and its undescribable the joy that comes with it! Thanks for a super giveaway!

wonderful!
my favorite new mama moment? Seeing my babies’ faces for the very first time and hearing those sweet cries!
My favorite moment is always a little bit after the baby is born and the doctor and nurses finish up and leave the room, and it’s just hubby and me and our new little person. So peaceful and happy, I love it.
What an awesome giveaway!
My favorite new mama moment? The first time we had someone babysit her and when hubby and I came home from “date night,” she saw me, squealed with delight, sported a HUGE smile and crawled at a lightning pace and outstretched her arms for an embrace when I picked her up. I sported some tears at that, and still get a little misty eyed when thinking about how much love she exudes in those moments.
With our most recent child’s birth, my favorite moment was introducing her to her three siblings. It was so awesome to hear them sing her “Happy Birthday”.

I have two favorite times as a mom, they’re tied for first. One is the first time I get to see that little fluttery heartbeat on the ultrasound screen, and the other is every time one of my kids snuggles into my neck and shoulder when they’re all sleepy and cuddly. Heaven.

I was a totally inexperienced 18 year old when my oldest son was born. I’d never even changed a diaper. The first time I changed him in the hospital I put the diaper on backwards. Now that baby is about to turn 30. I can barely believe it.

No kids here. All my fur babies are adults too, but I still have mommy moments! Recently, one of my almost 7 year old kitties has taken to snuggling me while I am on the PC. She loves for me to hold her with my left arm like a baby and then she will tuck her head under my chin and just purr like crazy. It is SO cute!!!
