I took this while we were waiting for Flogging Molly to come on stage at the Fillmore in Detroit. We were way up there. Way, way, way up. But it was still a surprisingly intimate feeling show. Like being at the pub with good friends sharing a drink, a dance & a song.
For Mike’s birthday this weekend we went downtown to see Flogging Molly perform {watch the above for a small slice of the genius of Flogging Molly}. It was a great show, full of energy and a perfect way to celebrate.
May Mike live as long as he wants,
And never want as long as he lives.
And may he live to be a hundred years, With one extra year to repent!
You know you are a Catholic family when your kids decide to have a Lego Mass.
A Mass for Lego soldiers.
Note the “old school” Baptismal font in the back of the mini-pews.
Takes “playing Mass” to a whole new level.
*Funniest part is after my kids realized the Lego men kept their hats on during Mass the kids were practically scandalized by the little Legos forgetfulness to remove their hats!
My oldest told me that he just loves his baby sister to pieces & it looks like she agrees. He is such a good big brother. And I am a very happy Momma when I catch these moments.
