Reading:
Look Me in the Eye: My Life with Asperger’s by John Elder Robison my Hubby bought this book for our plane ride to San Francisco. My Uncle came over after D-man was born with his sister my Aunt (they are my father’s siblings) and he mentioned that he had read it in a book club. He thought Hubby would like it. He was right because Hubby couldn’t put it down once he started reading it. It perked Hubby’s interest, given not only does Mr. J fall into this portion of the spectrum but so does Mr. G. Hubby finished it and passed it on to me. I highly recommend it from what I’ve read so far, it is really well written & very entertaining. I think more people should read this book because it could be a GOOD book for starting a conversation on Asperger’s & to open up people’s minds about the wider spectrum of autism.

I’m a fashion wanna-be, even if lately most my days are spent in spit up bedazzled clothes. I love fashion and am impressed by those who are able to create art. Fashion is wearable art & by fashion I don’t mean running to the donut shop in your Sponge Bob pj pants, house-slippers, and an old Grateful Dead shirt with your hair ratted up in a pony tail that looked like a old man’s toupee died on your head (yeah that’s right I saw you). And because of this love of fashion I get sucked into Project Runway every year. This season is no different, even if it is in LA. LA is not NYC no matter how you cut it, but meh I’m still suckered in. I’m looking forward to more of the fashion backstabbing, runway sashaying, and all the unveiling of the collections at the final fashion throwdown. Oh and for designers around the world if your piece sucks don’t throw your model under the bus like last night it’s tacky & makes you a total d-bag.
