Mommy Could You Smoke Before You Yell

vintage marlboro ad

Before the Marlboro Man these were marketed toward women, moms specifically.

Doesn’t this ad just warm your hearts? I mean my kids never offer me anything fun before I “scold” them. Instead they just look at me like I’m a mad woman & go about their merry way.

I think that it must have been more fun to be a mom back before we got “awareness” & we learned about that pesky health stuff. I mean kids offering parents cigarettes? That seems like a great idea, minus the whole cancer & other diseases thing. Killjoys.

And look at how cute those babies are. What mother could deny a pusher like that? I say bring on the babies! Let the good times roll again. Although now that I think about it I’d prefer a mixed drink myself.

mom cleaning

I think I’m doing something wrong when cleaning. My vacuum has wheels but I’m not flying with excitement when using it. I’m pretty sure after seeing this that I’ve been using the wrong way all these years.   I mean if she’s happy vacuuming, I should be too.  Isn’t that how it works?

Well maybe this is my problem.  I am thinking of laundry all wrong.  I should be thinking of it as part of my emancipation as a woman.   Who knew laundry was a Feminist cry.
